Property consultancy Tulip Real Estate has acquired the five-star Hilton Syon Park hotel in London for approximately £30 million ($40.68 million), marking a major step in its move into luxury hospitality.
The 137-room hotel is located on the historic 200-acre Syon Park Estate near Brentford. Originally opened as a Waldorf Astoria for the 2012 London Olympics, the property was rebranded as a deluxe Hilton in 2019. The acquisition is part of a four-property portfolio sold by American investment firm Lone Star.
Hudson previously managed the asset during its transition period. With this deal, Tulip Real Estate now takes over full ownership.
This purchase highlights Tulip’s growing focus on premium investments and heritage properties in the UK. The company, led by founder and managing director Sidd Mahajan, already owns several historic hotels, including the nearly 300-year-old Warbrook House Heritage Hotel and the 400-year-old Whately Hall Hotel.
Tulip has built a reputation for restoring old and neglected buildings, blending historic charm with modern luxury. The acquisition of the Hilton Syon Park is Tulip’s first major hotel venture in the UK, carried out through a joint venture with a hotel operator that manages six luxury properties across the country.
Countrywide Hotels will handle daily operations at the Syon Park property, continuing the hotel’s tradition of high-end service while aligning with Tulip’s long-term vision.
