The Isolano Hotel, the first Marriott island hotel in Croatia, officially opened its doors on the stunning Kvarner island of Cres, marking a significant milestone for both the brand and Croatian tourism. Situated in one of the most picturesque locations in the country, the hotel belongs to the Autograph Collection by Marriott, a line of luxury boutique hotels renowned for their emphasis on authentic local culture and architectural elegance.
This is not only the first Marriott hotel on Cres but also the first Autograph Collection hotel in all of Croatia. The Autograph Collection boasts over 300 hotels across 50 countries, and now Croatia has firmly positioned itself on the map, aligning with efforts to attract large-scale tourism investments and elevate its status in the global luxury tourism market.
The Isolano Hotel was built as part of a substantial €17 million investment, initiated three years ago by Valdarke d.o.o., led by hotel manager and Cres island native Nikola Avram. The grand opening was celebrated with a reception featuring the prestigious Rose wine from the Dalmatian winery Markus, and performances by the women’s klapa Teha and the folklore group Orlec. The event was attended by government officials, ministry representatives, and Pankaj Birla, Vice President of Marriott International for Central and Eastern Europe, highlighting the importance of the opening to Marriott’s expansion in the region.
