Hotel Kinsley, Kingston’s first destination hotel, has officially become part of the prestigious global Design Hotels collection. This curated network of independent properties is renowned for its bold design, local immersion, and immersive guest experiences. As a new member, Hotel Kinsley now joins a global community of culturally rooted, design-forward stays that emphasize originality over uniformity.
The partnership also grants access to Marriott Bonvoy benefits, allowing loyalty members to earn and redeem points while staying at Hotel Kinsley.
Located in Kingston’s historic Stockade District, Hotel Kinsley is housed in four restored 19th-century buildings: 301 Wall Street, 41 Pearl Street, 270 Fair Street, and 24 John Street. These buildings combine original architectural elements with modern comforts, creating a unique atmosphere for guests. The flagship location, formerly the State Bank of New York, features a distinctive check-in experience inside the original bank vault, designed in collaboration with Studio Robert McKinley. The design of the other buildings in the hotel collection was led by Vanessa Guilford of TOCCI and Aviva Blaichman, who built upon and evolved the original concepts by Studio Robert McKinley.
