The Compleat Angler, a four-star hotel in Marlow, has been named a winner in Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Awards 2025, thanks to consistently high guest ratings over the past year.
Located on the banks of the River Thames, the 64-room hotel received praise for its scenic views, elegant gardens, fine dining, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere. The award is based on a year’s worth of guest reviews submitted to the world’s largest travel platform.
The hotel has a long and storied history. Originally opened in the 17th century as a small guesthouse called the ‘Riverside Inn,’ it later adopted the name The Compleat Angler, inspired by Izaak Walton’s classic 1653 book about fishing in the Marlow area.
Andrew Boe, General Manager at The Compleat Angler, said: “As the world’s largest travel guidance platform, Tripadvisor has unparalleled authority with travellers and diners. It’s a privilege to be recognised in this way, based on genuine reviews and experiences.”
“This award is a reflection of the dedication and high standards we uphold every day,” he added. “We look forward to welcoming more guests this summer and continuing to deliver the exceptional service that makes The Compleat Angler so special.”
