YTL Hotels has officially opened two new properties in Malaysia, expanding its urban hotel portfolio with unique offerings in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh. The move supports the company’s strategy to cater to both local and international travelers with diverse, experience-driven accommodations.
Leading the announcement is the opening of Moxy Kuala Lumpur Chinatown, marking the debut of the Moxy brand in the Malaysian capital. The 21-story hotel is housed in the restored Oriental Bank building on Jalan Hang Lekiu and features 320 modern guest rooms.
The hotel blends contemporary design with cultural elements inspired by Chinatown. Guests will find bold color schemes, street art-style murals, modular interiors, and industrial lighting, all reflecting the energy of Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant street culture. Each room includes adaptable furniture and artwork by local artists.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a complimentary drink at the Zone In check-in area. The hotel also offers Zone Out, an all-day dining space suited for meals or remote work. Bar Moxy, located next to the pool, serves as a relaxed daytime spot that transforms into a lively social venue in the evening.
