IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is expanding its presence in Poland by signing a new Crowne Plaza hotel in Katowice. The hotel is set to open in 2026.
This will be the second Crowne Plaza property in Poland and will increase the brand’s European portfolio to 90 hotels, including those under development. The new hotel will have 178 rooms and is a joint project between IHG, DL Invest, and Hotel & More. It will complement the existing Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The HUB, reinforcing the brand’s focus on spaces that blend work and leisure.
Dominik Leszczyński, CEO of DL Invest, expressed confidence in the new hotel’s success. “IHG’s leadership in the industry, combined with Hotel & More’s strong market knowledge and hotel management experience in Hungary and across Europe, gives us full confidence in Crowne Plaza Katowice’s performance,” he said.
Leszczyński added, “With their deep understanding of the local market and proven ability to serve blended travel needs, we believe this hotel will become the top choice for business travelers visiting Katowice.”
Crowne Plaza has recently refreshed its brand, focusing on guest programs designed to meet the needs of business travelers seeking both professional and personal experiences.
