Minimalist Hotels has revealed plans to open 20 new hotels over the next two years, significantly expanding its presence in both major and emerging destinations across India. The targeted regions include Varanasi, NCR, Rajasthan, Goa, Mumbai, Uttarakhand, and Chandigarh.
To support this ambitious growth, the company is aiming to raise ₹20 crore in funding.
This expansion aligns with the rapidly growing Indian hotel market, which is projected to rise from $15.67 billion in 2024 to $22.41 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual rate of 9.32%. Boutique and mid-scale lifestyle hotels in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities are expected to lead this growth, driven by increasing domestic travel, higher disposable incomes, and the growing trend of Bleisure (business + leisure) travel.

Currently operating across 200,000 sq ft, the brand plans to add another 700,000 sq ft, nearly quadrupling its footprint to one million sq ft. All new properties will retain Minimalist Hotels’ signature Japandi-inspired design, a blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality.
With more than 1.5 lakh guests hosted to date, the brand is recognized for its curated guest experiences, including music nights, fitness clubs, and co-working hubs. Its in-house café, FIKA Coffee Co., offers regional flavors within a unified aesthetic. Notably, 50% of staff are locally hired, reinforcing a commitment to cultural authenticity and community integration.
