Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City, an island-inspired resort-style hotel in the Midwest, has officially opened and started welcoming overnight guests. Located at 1491 N. 98th Terrace, the six-story hotel features 228 rooms, including 11 suites, indoor and outdoor pools, vibrant dining options, and over 14,000 square feet of event space suitable for weddings, meetings, and special occasions.
Managed by Davidson Hospitality Group, the hotel was developed by Sunflower Development Group in partnership with Homefield KC and Margaritaville. It is situated in Village West, just across I-435 from the Kansas Speedway.
“This isn’t just a hotel – it’s a destination,” said Greg Maday, co-owner of Homefield KC. “We aimed to bring a true resort-style experience to Kansas City, and Margaritaville’s lively energy and fun atmosphere fit perfectly.”
The hotel offers several dining venues to suit every guest:
LandShark Bar & Grill: A two-story restaurant inspired by coastal beach bars, serving American classics such as fish tacos, burgers, salads, and tropical cocktails. It features indoor and outdoor seating for up to 300 guests and hosts live music throughout the week.
5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill: Located poolside, this open-air bar serves frozen drinks, beer, and shareable plates. It’s open to hotel guests as well as those with pool passes or cabana rentals.
Joe Merchant’s Coffee & Provisions: A grab-and-go market offering coffee, sandwiches, gelato, and essentials.
LandShark Lobby Bar: A casual spot near the lobby, ideal for a margarita or relaxing evening drink.
