Hotel technology provider SiteMinder has reported a 9% year-on-year increase in bookings at Australian hotels, with Adelaide properties seeing the strongest growth at 24%.
The data, released during SiteMinder’s global webinar series Risk, Resilience & Revenue – Navigating Hotel Demand in 2025, shows that while key international markets like the US and Italy are experiencing booking slowdowns, Australia is showing strong forward momentum.
Bookings for July and August 2025 are already more than 15% higher than during the same period in 2024.
The comparison is based on reservation volumes at Australian hotels using SiteMinder’s platform, as of May 15 in both years.
Sydney hotels reported the second-highest growth at 18.5%, followed by Hobart with a 15.7% increase, reflecting broad strength across multiple markets.
The findings highlight Australia’s growing appeal to both domestic and international travelers amid shifting global tourism trends.
